Post-Memory. Post-Archives is a documentary developed as part of the Goethe-Institut Nigeria and Nigerian Film Corporation's Post-Memory, Post-Archive: Nigerian Film History (1960s–1980s) initiative. Drawing on archival research, historical investigation, and documentary storytelling, the film explores how forgotten films, fragile archives, and collective memory shape Nigeria's cinematic heritage. Through engagement with archival collections and historical records, the project reflects on the importance of preserving the nation's audiovisual legacy for future generations.
Objectives
Explore Nigeria's film history through archival research and documentary filmmaking. Investigate the relationship between memory, archives, and cultural identity.
